Vanessa Martinez I was going to be a rocket scientist, but changed my mind when I realized how bored I was. Making movies about people going into space seemed more exciting than spending the rest of my life inside an office. I switched majors and graduated from UT with a degree in sociology. I volunteered for short films and started getting any experience I could. So far I have worked on four short films and one feature length movie. My goal is to work as a second assistant director on a film and eventually work as a first assistant director. Working with people who are talented, fun, and who take the time to answer my questions is one of the many perks of fimmaking.
