Robin Blesch’s Bio

Robin created and organizes The Wolfpack Film Group in Austin, TX. For the last two and a half years she worked as the head producer with From the Flames Productions, a start up full service film production company that she successfully helped build from the ground up.  Robin also produced several projects with other production companies during that time period as well.  Robin now works as the Producer for AMFM Production’s and the Wolfpack Film Group; she is organizing the WPoP (http://amfmstudios.com/wolfpack/wpop.html); is filming behind the scenes for 27 Heaven, an Off Broadway play on tour, (http://amfmstudios.com/27heaven); is in the funding phase of 4 feature films, in the scripting phase of 1 feature film, in pre-production on one feature film and two exhibition scenes, in production on 2 documentaries, and in post production on 2 short films, several live events, one promo video, and 3 behind the scenes documentaries.

Before getting involved with From the Flames Productions and film production, Robin was pursuing a BA in Anthropology/Archaeology from the University of Texas at Austin.  Even though Robin’s degree focus in Anthropology seems to be totally unrelated from her professionally career, she has found practical applications in the business world for Anthropological concepts and principals that she has learned about human behavior and interaction, society reactions, reciprocity, different cultures, subcultures, pop culture, trend setting, fads, marketing, advertising, business management, the mass market, target markets, niche markets, the media, the press, and many other subjects to select the right people to work on the right projects, who have complementary skills, personalities, and goals. Though Robin’s main focus has shifted from her Anthropology degree to film production over the last few years, she is still pursuing her education and is currently a senior at The University of Texas at Austin in the top of her class.

Robin has always had a love for film and a love for history and culture, which is what attracted her to her first film project, "Blade of the King" concept film (CF). After producing that project, she was hooked on making films. (Film available on ifilm.com)

In the summer of 2006, during FTFP’s film festival tour with the “Blade of the King” (CF), Robin was one of the Featured speakers at the Action on film International Film Festival in Long Beach, CA for a panel discussion at the filmmaker mixer. After the mixer, Robin got some very valuable alone time to discuss the industry with the CFO of Paramount Pictures, had a private screening with him of the “Blade of the King” (CF), (BOTK) and the rough cut of the Leandro Fossi (INYL) Music video.  After viewing the films, he said that there was a %300 increase of quality from the BOTK to INYL.  He added, “They are like night and day.”

This increase in quality is due to a direct correlation in the fact that if you have all the right tools to work with, you can produce a better quality product.

During the AOF Panel Discussion Robin can be quoted as saying:

“Independent filmmakers are almost always regarded as the under dogs, who are weaker, lesser, and therefore left begging for funding. I say underdogs can compete just as well as top dogs, if given a fair chance. […] I have also heard many filmmakers say, “If this film doesn’t make it, I’m choosing a new profession.” I think that’s the wrong attitude; you can be successful at anything you put your mind to if you work hard, and never give up!”

Robin is a Constant Multi-tasker with a strong eye for detail. She has the ability to manage small or large groups, and has experience running film sets with up to a 50-man crew. Her exceptional outside the box thinking, rapid problem solving abilities, and great financial skills paired with her tactical and strategic planning skills make her a valuable asset to any production or project. Robin's drive for success and willingness to go the extra mile made her a key leader of the Wolfpack Film Group, AMFM Productions, and From the Flames Productions.

Besides producing, Robin has worked in many other capacities in the filmmaking process.
