Patricia De la Garza
Born and raised in San Antonio, TX, Patricia began her formal art training in high school. "It was amazing to discover a hidden talent in a subject involving the use of my imagination. The world finally made sense to me!"
Cornell College awarded Patricia their Buzza Art Scholarship four years in a row. She earned a B.A. in Fine Arts with K-12 teaching licenses. Upon graduation, she returned to San Antonio, where she taught elementary through high school students at her alma mater.
In 1999, Patricia moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where her love-affair with advertising began with an entry-level position at Clear Channel Outdoor. "My fascination with advertising led me into marketing and sales. Outside of work I scrutinized fashion ads, continually mesmerized by the unique makeup and the saturation of color in print." Patricia went on to represent JCDecaux USA as a Regional Sales Executive and had the opportunity to work directly with prestigious clothing and fashion lines.
Later, family drew Patricia to move to the small coastal town of San Luis Obispo, CA, located midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles. "Despite the distance from metropolitan life, I could not relinquish my enchantment with all that I had experienced. In my free time, I began exploring cosmetic lines, duplicating looks I had seen in magazines, and eventually creating my own concepts. I was enthralled with the idea of utilizing a model's face as an artistic canvas. It was only a matter of time before I cultivated a serious addiction to Sephora cosmetic stores."
Patricia accepted a local counter position with CHANEL. "It was the culmination of all my passions - makeup artistry, fashion, marketing, and sales!" Patricia continues to represent CHANEL in her new hometown of Austin, TX.
Patricia Has worked with From the Flames Productions and the Wolfpack Film Group as a Makeup Artist on “A Knight Time Story,” as Makeup Concept Designer for the “I Need Your Love” Music Video, and still does consulting for the group between major projects. Patricia has worked with many of the other Wolfpack makeup artists, and her collaboration has made the group’s makeup department much stronger.
