Funky Underdawgs is a new All-Star lineup of New Orleans musicians like no other -

Take the amazing drumming of "Mean Willie Green" (Neville Brothers, Bob Dylan) and the hard driving bass lines of Kenny Green (Big Sam's Funky Nation/Cosmic Sweat Society) and put it together with a horn section made of two of Rebirth Brass Band"s most prominent players (Shamarr Allen-Trumpet/Vocals, and Flee/Sax), it's impossible to ignore the funky grooves pushing the sound of this band into a new realm of rythmic possibilities. Add Mike Burkart from the reggae band "The Revealers" for keyboard and vocals, and Elliot Cohn's (Cosmic Sweat Society, Big Sam's Funky Nation) incredible guitar work, and of it's own accord, your body will start to groove in the timeless New Orlean's party tradition.

With blistering Stevie Ray-like guitar riffs, scorching horn solos, blasting bass and drums, tantalizing keyboards, topped with rich vocal harmonies, this band is truly a force with mass cross-over appeal.
