Rick Broussard's Two Hoots and a Holler Releases "Come and Take It"

Rick Broussard and his band Two Hoots and a Holler will kick off their new CD release "Come And Take It" with a series of release parties in Texas. "Come and Take It" is their 10th recording, and will be released digitally October 1st and in select stores November 1, 2011.

Two Hoots and a Holler is high-octane Roots-Rock band that's been blasting traditional country spiked with a punk fury since 1984. Seven Austin Chronicle Awards back up Broussard as a Texas favorite, and fans in France, Sweden and Norway concur.

The flag motif used for the CD cover art is a nod to the Texas Revolution of 1835 and the Battle of Gonzales Flag. Broussard has substituted the cannon with his Telecaster and changed the dare to an invitation..."Come and Take It. Come and take my joy, come and take my sorrow, come and take my memories..."

"Songs like "I Cried and Cried the Day Doug Sahm Died" bring new depth to the band's repertoire, with the same intensity and quality old fans will welcome, and new converts will thrill to.

The CD will be available at Amazon.com, itunes, Waterloo Records (Austin), Cheapo Records (Austin), Cactus Records (Houston), and Najz Prajz (Sweden).
